OneBook: Invitation

Brian Russell

Perfect for:

  • Small groups (each week includes a group discussion guide; DVD sold separately)
  • Groups that are unfamiliar with the Bible or lack a strong foundation in the big story of Scripture
  • Newcomer classes
  • Wednesday night studies and/or Sunday school classes requiring approximately 90-minutes of meeting time

In these pages you'll:

  • Gain a helpful foundation for how to read, study, and understand scripture
  • Develop, with your group, a common foundation and language which will carry on through other studies and personal time in Scripture
  • Learn how the whole of Scripture works together to tell the story of God's work in the world

About the Study

Forgive us if this seems obvious, but it can be really difficult to drive home important biblical and theological ideas to a congregation or small group that lacks a basic understanding of the fundamentals. Sadly, this is a dilemma churches are increasingly facing, and unfortunately, limited resources exist that help build a strong foundation for your community.

OneBook: Invitation is Seedbed’s answer to this common struggle. The Invitation study is a one-time, ten-week journey led by Dr. Brian Russell, Old Testament professor at Asbury Theological Seminary, that sets the stage for further group exploration through the rest of the OneBook series. While certainly not a prerequisite, Invitation does provide a helpful foundation for how to read, study, and understand scripture.
