What will you build your life upon? In a world that Jesus promises will be full of trouble, where will you turn for the strength to overcome? Some people build their lives upon their successes and their accomplishments. Others trust their own wisdom. Some people’s lives rise and fall, depending on their circumstances. Some people are no more stable than their ever-changing emotions. And some people live defeated, their lives founded upon their failures and their losses.
But there is a foundation that is greater than our successes, more dependable than our circumstances, and powerful enough to redeem our failures. The unfailing promises of a faithful God provide the strength we need to overcome the world and its trouble. Build your life upon these promises and though the rains come and the storms rage, you will never fall.
